Weekend Reflections #9

James, here's my post for your fun meme Weekend Reflections.

Our local diner with the whimsical name "Lollipops." It was burned down a while back and here it is again completely refurbished. the first thing I noticed was the way the light fixtures reflect in the mirrors that are mounted around the place.

That's my husband, Vinny, in the foreground of the bottom picture. He's a very dear man!

Thanks Sheila for including Christmas stamps on the card. They're beautiful!

My World Tuesday

These trees caught my eye along Francis Lewis Blvd and I just had to pull over and take a couple of photos. I think they may be ornamental pears. They are the reddest trees around town.

Jan is the host of SOOC Sunday

What are the rules? On any Sunday you can post any photo you like (it must be one of your own) that hasn’t been tweaked or altered in any way (cropping is OK). In other words Straight Out Of the Camera.

Weekend Reflections #8

I took this shot at the Planting Fields, Coe House. The lovely compote dish (a la Lenox) sits on a wood pedestal and is housed in a glass cabinet. The glass reflects light through and around and, I think, makes for a very interesting photo... if I say so myself. :)

James hosts Weekend Reflections. Thank you James! Go on over to Newtown Area Photo for additional participants.

Postcard Friendship Friday

Marie, here's my post for today. I've posted "cartes postales" from John Derian before. But here are another two that I just love.

Go visit Marie at Postcard Friendship Friday for more wonderful postcards.

Tink, I posted this photo back in September on this blog. But it's the only road picture I have to post today. Do you have zip cars where you live?
