My World Tuesday

We went to a Wednesday matinee recently and took photos as we drove into Manhattan. Riding down the FDR I took a quick shot of the 59th Street Bridge. We crossed over to the theatre district passing Rockefeller Center with a beautiful array of American flags.

We found a very expensive parking garage ($36.00 for the 3 hours we parked) and waited til the theatre opened a half hour before the play began.

Equus is a play by Peter Shaffer written in 1973, telling the story of a psychiatrist who attempts to treat a young man who has a pathological religious/sexual fascination with horses.

Well, that's my world!

Thanks so much to the My World Tuesday team for this new meme :

Mary - love the vine in that first photo. New York City must be one photo op after another, and then you have Broadway as well. Very nice!

That bridge picture is fantastic! The flags are also quite beautiful. The show? Did you like it? It sounds fascinating, but one of those that's either really good... or not.

The 59th Street Bridge! I hear Simon and Garfinkel singing, "Slow down, you move too fast. You've got to make the morning last..."

(Okay, so I'm dating myself.)

All of your photos are stunning. The one of the bridge looks almost like a painting. Beautiful!

Beautiful pics. I had to comment as I played one of the horses in a small community theatre's production of Equus in Sioux Fall's SD. To be honest I don't know if that was our directors interpretation of the play to use people in the roll of the horses or if they are usually just props. Shows how much I don't know about theatre or the original play. However, I had so much fun doing the play--it was a great outlet for creativity!
