Postcard Friendship Friday

Marie of The French Factrice hosts Postcard Friendship Friday.

Joel

Elijah

These two postcards are from the Union Church of Pocantico Hills, New York.

I bought them when I visited the Church last Fall. The cards depict stained glass windows by Marc Chagall.

At the instigation of David Rockefeller, the family commissioned these and 7 other stained-glass windows depicting biblical scenes, which were dedicated between 1964 and 1966.

Go visit The French Factrice to see other participants.

Beautiful windows! I was nice of him not to insist that the figures in the glass resemble favorite family members.

These are the most beautiful cards I've seen in a while. It reminds me there is a church, not so very far from us which has 12 Chagall windows. I must make the effort to go and see them.

those are beautiful windows. I didn't know Chagall designed stained glass windows.
