Effects of Tornado in Flushing, NY

Damage was greatest along the south end of Kissena Park along Booth Memorial Avenue. In this area there were damaged cars as well.

The steeple of St. George's Episcopal Church in main St. Flushing was sheared right off...

I heard about that tornado. They are so scary. Good shots of the damage. I hope everyone was safe.

Wow, I can only imagine. We had tornadoes, rarely, when I lived in Long Beach, LA County. I remember on destroying LA Mercedes Benz dealership.

my brother was driving in Park Slope headed downtown when the storm hit
he said it was incredible
the wind was something he had never experienced before and the rain was sheets falling in all directions

I always feel so bad for the trees
