Quite a headstone! He was such a treasure!
I had no idea he was buried in NYC... I would've guessed down in the Delta somewhere.
Still can't make up my mind of the coins are part of the sculpture or real ones left by fans, a la Duane Allman.
That is a beautiful headstone. I too am surprised his final resting place is in NY. Thank you for this wonderful post.
