Postcard Friendly Friday

I found a postcard of a place we used to go when we were young marrieds. It was called MOHONK MOUNTAIN HOUSE. Located in New Palz, N.Y.
Photobucket
It looks the same today as it did when we vacationed there. And as it did when Teddy Roosevelt vacationed there. It is open year round, summer and winter.

What a beautiful resort. It looks quite European. What was it like there? Was it luxurious or more down to earth?

It looks a really lovely place, and as on of your commenters said, almost European. Interesting that it hasn't changed at all in all that time. I was just discussing the pros and cons of strict preservation of historical sites with a postcard friend of mine - how far to go?

Definitely an old world look to it! And probably service that match the spectacular view.
