My World Tuesday

My world has often been the beach this June. Visiting with my husband, my nephew, and his son, Jarome. We were there this weekend.

The footprint is my 4-year-old nephew's. The shovel and the pail are also his. Maybe one day it'll be sunny when we go! :)

Our weather has been dark and overcast for a while now. Rain and thunder and lightening. It has been cool though. I'm sure it'll get better soon. :)

False Spirea/Feather Flower

These flowers grow near the Admin building where I teach at Queensborough Community College in Bayside Queens.

These fluffy spikes on ferny foliage bloom in June and July. Varieties vary in size, shape, bloom color, bloom time and leaf color. The flower heads last longer if they are planted to avoid the afternoon sun. Some have green leaves, others bronze, some are shiny while others have a matte finish. A great plant for color and texture in the shade garden!

A little waterfall at the Queens Botanical Gardens. Makes you feel cool on a hot day... Although the days (Northeast U.S.) haven't been very hot here for which I'm grateful.

Summer Stock Sunday

Summer is always time for going to the park. Jarome loves the swings and we love watching him on them!

I hope Robin forgives me for being late with this post but yesterday we celebrated Father's Day and all the fathers were at my house: Jarome's Dad (my nephew); Jarome's maternal grandfather, Johnson; Uncle Vinny (Jarome's grand-uncle). Jarome's paternal grandfather was still down in Florida wishing he was here to celebrate. Jarome wished Nonno was here too.

My World Tuesday

This has been My World for the last 8 weeks. Physical Therapy for my broken ankle. Obviously I'm not the only person getting care. The machine is a STIM machine which is used by the therapists to help with pain.

The person in the forground is Scarlett who is massaging my ankle and making it feel a LOT better. Scarlett has magic fingers. :)
