Summer Stock Sunday

Photobucket

Swim noodles are seen all over the pool, blue ones, pink ones, yellow ones. The kids and adult use them for floating in the pool. But this mom and son have found a new fun use for them. :)

If you've never seen a swim noodle here's a definition:

The Water Noodle, Swim Noodle, Pool Noodle, Noodle Chair, foam roller what ever you call it, is a flexible, Fun-In-The-Sun water toy and exercise float that has unlimited uses. People of all ages will have fun just noodling around with it. The Wacky Noodle can be used for floating, splashing, making waves, exercising, or riding like a seahorse. Possible uses are limited only by ones imagination.

Go visit Robin who is the host of Summer Stock Sunday.

Weekend Mailbox

Gemma is the host of Weekend Mailbox. This is the only mailbox I have a picture of. I'm sure I'll do better next time. I'm sure the postman knows whose mailbox this is... :)

Here are the rules:

1. Post a photograph of ANYTHING that relates to mailboxes.
Here are a few ideas/subjects!
mailboxes
cards
notepaper

stamps
vintage cards/postcards
old letters
even VIRTUAL letters
postal vans
postmen
2. Your link must be a "permalink" and go directly to your Weekend Mailbox post.
3. Link back to Weekend Mailbox in your post tags.
4. You may like to use the Weekend Mailbox badge located in this post or on the sidebar! Right click and save it on your computer. When you add it to your post, ensure you click on the image and link it to Gemma's Greyscale Territory. Then others may follow the link here.
P.S. I am aware that U.S. has official mailboxes.
But anything related to mail is great for this meme!
It's OK to think outside "the mailbox"!!!
N.B. As I think of extra possibilities, I will add them to the list!
You may even like to suggest some!
***PLEASE - Add your NAME + COUNTRY (initials)
e.g. Gemma, AUS
and link to Linky Tools below.

Weekend Reflections

Photobucket

Oh dear! I'm running out of reflections in my photo archives! Here is a shot of early Spring - you can see some ice in the little brook. I like the reflections of the trees and ducks though.

James is the host of Weekend Reflections. Go visit Newtown Area Photo for more great shots!

The Manhattan Bridge

We were on our way to our grand-nephew, Jarome's, pre-K graduation at NYU. So we had to cross the Manhattan Bridge which is the sister bridge to the Williamsburg Bridge.

I took this shot from the passenger seat in the car.

Go visit Jan at Murrieta 365 and see other SOOC Sunday participants

Postcard Friendship Friday

Two saltbox houses where John Adams and John Quincy Adams (house on the left) were born. Both in Quincy, Mass.

Painted by G.N. Frankenstein, 1849. (No relation to the Dr. or the monster)

They are open to the public on the main floors. We visited last Saturday.

Summer Stock Sunday & SOOC Sunday

Photobucket

I thought I could post this shot for both Summer Stock Sunday and SOOC Sunday.

When the wind whipped up, and two umbrellas at different times flew off the pool deck, the powers-that-be told the pool attendants to remove the unbrellas from their poles.

That didn't bother the guys with the feet on the lounge chairs...
